One of the major weaknesses of contemporary journalism is that it frames every subject in political terms. Reporters can’t seem to see anything but the battle between blue and red, left and right. When an event like the tsunami comes along, the weakness of this approach is exposed. This American Spectator piece makes that point nicely.
