Paul McCain on why the Presidential prayer breakfast is not a good thing:
Here we have people from all religions, including many Christians,
falling all over themselves to be polite to the point of making
specific belief, doctrine and commitment irrelevant. In other words,
putting God’s Word second, and being politically correct first. It is
idolatry, purely and simply. To my knowledge the only person in recent memory who actually said
something worth saying at one of these pan-religious things was Mother
Theresa who lambasted everyone for their shallow regard for the
sanctity of human life.Ask yourself this. If a Christian stood up at the National Prayer
Breakfast and clearly proclaimed Christ Crucified as the world’s
salvation, the only Mediator, the only one through whom a person is
saved, the only one through whom we have access to the Father, the only
true and living God . . would he be invited back again to the next
National Prayer Breakfast?
